Index Okinawa, Official Launch of service for EZweb Contents ‘Okinawa Maniac’ on 9 March 2006.

Index Okinawa Corporation (President: Mr. Tomoaki Kurita, Head Office: Urasoe-shi Okinawa, in short, Index Okinawa) who started from mobile related business and imaging business and operating from Okinawa to the whole of Japan have cooperated with Okinawa Electric Power Company., Inc to produce ‘Okinawa Maniac!’ and it will be registered under EZweb official mobile site menu. The service will start with effect from 9 March 2006.

The 4 main contents of ‘Okinawa Maniac!’ include general information like ‘Okinawa Musicians’, ‘Creators’, ‘Okinawa Tourism’ and ‘Settling Down in Okinawa’. Beside providing music and tourism information, also helps to broaden the information of the target groups. Thus not only Okinawa Fans will enjoy these interesting sites, it will be very informative and interesting site for those that do not have much knowledge of Okinawa. In this way, this site aims to create awareness and interest. (Consumers need to be a member to access to this site. Monthly charges \315, Free of charges contents are also available).

The meaning of ‘Maniac’ is the ‘Enthusiasm for Something’. We wish that our users will be enthusiastic about Okinawa and thus we have named ‘Oki-mani’ which is friendly and will be easy to remember for all. Currently, the site concentrated on tourism information ‘Asobi kokoro’ (‘play heart’) but will include other Okinawa information with our networks in Okinawa.

Independent Musicians

PC information site ‘I dub Okinawa’ mainly includes interviews and write-out columns of individual musicians. Melody, songs, EZ movies and other contents can be downloaded by the end users as well.

In this website, the main purpose is to introduce active independent musicians in Okinawa and their music, CDs release information, live concert information and information for CD purchases and ranking and popularity level of Okinawa music.

In the near future, beside mobile site, Index Okinawa will be working together with concert theater (Live-house) to have more events for our users.

Okinawa Creators

This site introduces art-works produced by the multi media illustrators, photographers, Image and video writers, designers and creators, who are relatively involving actively in Okinawa. It also includes information of events and exhibitions. The introduction of creators includes their art-works, production process, the material used and finally how the creator inspired initially in order to make the final contents eventually. These artworks are able to be downloaded by the users. Index Okinawa is working with these independent musicians to organize more musical events and to produce more original picture contents for customers.

With the collaboration of these music and events organized, Index Okinawa is going to broaden their vision on a greater perspective.
