Joint Venture with ‘Okinawa Prefecture Products Associated Co., Limited’ for Okinawa Prefecture Specialty Goods Shopping Site ‘Okinawa Washita Island’ Launch of Vodafone live on 3 July 2006 after i-mode and EZweb.

The subsidiary company of Index Corporation (President cum Director, Ms. Yoshimi Ogawa, Head Office location at Setagaya-ku Tokyo, in short: Index), whom is moving into mobile and media operation globally, Index Okinawa Corporation (President: Mr. Tomoaki Kurita, Head Office location at Urasoe-shi, Okinawa., in short Index Okinawa), has joint-ventured with Okinawa Products Associated Co., Ltd. (President, Mr. Hirotaka　Makino, Office location, Naha-shi, Okinawa, in short, Products Associated Co., Ltd.) to produce Vodafone official mobile site known as ‘Okinawa Washita Island’ which menu will start to be on line with effect from 3 July 2006.

Washita shops were established by Products Associated Co., Ltd in the whole of Japan. They are in the business of providing specialty products from Okinawa. Their shopping site, ‘Washita Island’ is supplying Okinawa products that sold only in Okinawa but currently consumers may simply purchase them through mobile website. As there were favorable response in their official mobile site for i-mode and EZweb, they have decided to launch `Vodafone Live!` official site for 3 mobile carriers so that more users may use this service.

In order to make simple for users, the keyword ‘Okinawa’ is included at the menu page. Users will just need to choose ‘Okinawa Washita Island’ at that page to enter the site of ‘Vodafone live!’ This menu will be in Kyushu and Okinawa’s site with effect from 12 July 2006 (Wednesday).
