Character Design with Detailed Illustration

Materials like Company logo and photographs of the service provided were not available thus we have had worked on Site Visualization and the Understanding the world. It is a custom during ‘Obon festival’ (‘Obon’ is a Japanese Buddhist custom to honor the departed (deceased) spirits of one's ancestors.) in Okinawa for all the relatives to gather together with food in front of the tomb of their ancestors to pay their respect. Thus we have created the atmosphere of this tradition using illustrations at the main page in the site constructions. Users will be able to assume the atmosphere which is well-expressed by our characters used while surfing this website.

The use of Search Engine to select keyword for the Top Display

As a newly launched website, creating awareness to increase of number of site visitors and to target end-users is a vital issue. During the planning and design stage, we have adopted ‘Search by keyword’ in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in our site design to allow more site exposure. Eventually we managed to obtain the top rank at Google search with many visitors visiting this website.

The next phase for our customer was the expansion of website content with the introduction of CMS. Taking into consideration budget and server constraint of our customers, we have chosen ‘Word Press’ from ‘Open Source CMS’. The use of characters and illustrations for site construction not only provide easy understanding and friendliness, also aims to target the right end-customers. The First Heavy Machinery Website that is simple and easy to understand: The Construction of this Heavy Machinery Website attempted to expressed the heavy image of Heavy Machineries with interesting and comical layout but detailed illustrations which is never been done before.
The Purpose of Renewal: The website before renewal has a different look in the browser and the Search Engine was not well-optimized. Moreover they were other problems including the coding work. As the company will like to have their own web-blog in order to deliver information about their activities, we have renewed the site by using XHTML for entire website construction with movable type for blog construction to satisfy their needs.
Highly Specialized Information Conveyed in layman’s Language for Easy Understanding: We have conducted research on some of the existing heavy machinery website to realize that most of the information included in those websites was too ‘professional’ to be understood. In order to solve this problem, we have made use of illustrations for machineries and construction drawings which explained all the information clearly and resulted in high visibility rate.
Our Special Attention at the top of the site with the use of Flash: Based on our client’s concept ‘To Build Okinawan City’, in order to provide information guide and detailed page, we applied flash content illustrations at the site top, which included comical animations and used gimmicks to introduce the methods of construction. Eventually we successfully integrated all the areas in this website by putting illustrations in many areas for access purposes.
Detailed and Careful Touch-up Photographs: Photographs of Work situation were provided but were not uploaded just like they were, instead there were careful touch up for all the photographs. For instance the trimming of photographs was required to emphasize the work atmospheres or the adjustment of brightness to an appropriate level of these photographs if the original ones were being too bright or too dark. Finally the photographs on site were of remarkable quality.

This is the first case in Heavy Machinery Website that is successfully constructed using clients’ concept accurately for illustration production and interesting catch copies which attracted great attention. Our customer was very pleased as there were write out in the newspaper regarding this home page after the renewal.
